The way you did it wasn't as out of line as I first thought and maybe it was just the way I read it in my mind. Also I did it the normal way and it wasn't like that at all. Hunting/Harpooning/Crafting - it's all in here. I have followed Shay's story to the end (beautiful, by the way), I have completed every side quest and objective, collected every damned chest, Animus fragment, and collectable, I have even found all the stupid tablets in Abstergo Entertainment!

Some of the ship battles get extremely confusing with who is attacking whom, and what side they're on. It was meant to be done as backgroud task throughout your playthrough, however due to poor incentive to even play it (petty money rewards) - many people left it until the end and found themselves stuck in a super long and boring waiting game. There is very real reason why one would use this exploit and I don't need somebody to come here and flash their e-peen at me and make me out to be some gaming demon for legitimately trying to help others. I've already explained why it can have to be used. It took no skill, it took no effort - it took nothing out of you to do it.
Dude nobody gives a crap. The cause of the glitch is unknown but could be attributed to activating cheats prior to reaching 35 completed challenges and finishing challenges while ... renovating buildings, acquiring money, and the naval campaign minigame. For people like you, the Naval Campaign is ongoing while you explore. Note that the challenges can be viewed and their progress tracked from the Abstergo Challenge section in the main menu.
There was, however, an exploit for this that allowed you to put your PS3's clock ahead an hour, and then when you returned to the game the mission who would be complete as though the time passed naturally.
May 16, 2015 @ 1:15pm Enemy Ship Glitch (Some spoilers ahead) So, I just started playing recently and everything has been practically flawless, that is until a few missions in when the British ships become allies. Exit the Animus, and enter the nearby cubicle to find game cases, status, and books that refer to Assassin's Creed 3, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Far Cry 3, Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, as well as confirmation of the Rising Phoenix DLC for Assassin's Creed Unity. There's nothing wrong with using exploits or whatever, just don't give these trophy elitists the attention they want especially the ones that act like they're gatekeepers. I can't really remember why I played the way I did back then because I normally like to explore as much as I can too.
It doesn't matter if you're at the war table, or have left it - it simply will not work. Annoying, and frustrating sometimes.

So, I guess I was lucky that this trophy wasn't that much of a chore for me when I got back to the game later on. Disregard everything i said about this.
It's a bad design choice on Ubisoft's end - they allowed you to sink massive amounts of time into the game (arguably able to finish nearly 80% of it) before starting the Naval Campaign. By the time we do get around to the Naval Campaign, we've already sank some 20 hours into the game, that otherwise would have counted towards the trophy. You literally didn't do anything but let time go by, so who cares if you did it legit or not. If that's your idea of good gaming, then don't let the door hit you on the way out. Level 3 - Achieve 100% total synchronisation. Speak to any Harbormaster and select the mission from the map. But then again to each his own and you're both being childish.
Those who played this game back on PS3 remember this exploit. Harpoon and kill each type of sea animal.
