This is a Palace built in 1912 by Raja Sir Annamalai CHETTIAR, a Native Zamindar of Chettinad, who started the famous Indian Bank and Annamalai University in Chidambaram.

The food was always excellent and they made whatever we asked for. The construction style of the palace also reflects some European influence, which only adds to the regal beauty of the palace. When we asked about it ,they immediately cleaned it.But I think the smell was from the thatched roof!The staff is very small but very good.
